Do I *really* have to send you a photo of my vulva to get a themed portrait?
It depends. I'm a visual artist and require a reference to draw or paint an accurate likeness. However, if you don't want to send me a photo of your vulva, that's ok! There are a number of options we can chose instead.
You can pick your closest likeness from the Labia Library or a preferred source. Or, you can take a photo then trace over it. It all depends on the theme and level of detail you would like to see in the final portrait. The more realistic and detailed the theme, the more likely it is that I'll need a reference photo.
How can I be sure that any photos I send remain private?
If you decide to send me a photo of your vulva, I'll send you a contract stating what I'll do to ensure the highest level of privacy possible. Only once you feel comfortable that all precautions are being taken should you send the contract back.
I work alone in my studio and do not print out reference photos of vulvas at any point in my process. Once the portrait is complete, I delete all photos sent whether via email, WhatsApp, or SMS, on all devices.
Will my themed vulva portrait be unique?
YES! First, it will be unique because our vulvas are unique. Second, although theme requests may be repeated, I never use the same color palette and composition again, meaning you will receive a truly unique piece of art.
How much does a themed vulva portrait cost and how do I pay?
Each portrait is unique and so is quoted individually. Portraits generally cost between $100 and $300 depending on size and detail. Once the final price is set, I'll send an invoice via email that you can pay with any major credit or debit card, or by PayPal. After I receive full payment, I get started!
How long does it take until I receive my themed vulva portrait?
Each portrait takes 2-4 weeks from the time payment is received.
Do you share my vulva portrait online once it's finished?
NO! Your portrait is personal to you and the internet does not deserve to see it. I do not post portraits on any social media accounts before, during, or after they are completed. I do not share photos of the portraits on my website or portfolio.
If I like the way a portrait has turned out, I will on occasion paint another version using a different vulva and share that.
